SRM 7 auto refresh POWL screen

Hi,

can you provide the steps to do auto refresh for POWL screen in SRM meaning to refresh screen automatically once SC,PO .. etc are created by the user without clicking on Refresh button manually

Hi Kumar,

In order to activate the automatic refresh in POWL, you should configure this well in the following customizing:

SAP Supplier Relationship Management

            -->SRM Server

                -->Cross-Application Basic Settings

                   -->POWL and Advanced Search

A, Deactivate/Activate Automatic Refresh of the POWL

B, Define Number and Intervals of Iterations for Automatic Refresh of the POWL

Once this is configured well, automatic refresh should be working well.

However automatic refresh will only work when the change is made by the logged user.

For changes made by others, you have to click refresh button in order to see them.

One more exception is that:

If one user logged to portal and order one document which has automatic workflow, the status of the document won't be automatic refreshed in POWL due to the following reason:

If you logon as one user and order one SC, the status of SC in POWL

will not automaticall refresh to approved.

Because WF-BATCH user will be the real creator for SC if automatic

workflow is used. However automatic refresh doesn't support changes

made by other users rather than the logged user.

This is the limitation for automatic refresh in POWL.

Hi Kumar,

I hope you must be aware the auto refresh related config in SPRO when you activate this, whenever you create and submit the SC, POWL will be automatically refreshed and you can see the new SC number under the list.

In case if your requirement is to get auto update of the SC status i.e. for example from awaiting for approval to approved, followon document created ... etc.. then there is no option available for this requirement.

User has to choose refresh option.

Hi Kumar,

    You may use the background jobPOwl_WLOAD to refresh the status of the documents in POWL .
