Use host name in the portal URL instead of ip address.

Duncan,

I had the same problem.

Is your site is marked as trusted site?

go to your Internet explorer Tools->Internet Options->Security->Trusted Sites and press the "Sites" Button.

Check if the address of your sites is in the "Websites". If yes, just selected it and press remove button.

It worked for me.

Hi Joseph

We tried those IE options, but still get the same results.

It's as if the wedynpro is not getting the results to render.

Hello,

There area some possibilities for this issue.

Are you switching protocol from http to https or vice-versa while calling backend systems from portal? If so, you should maintain the same protocol (http or https), avoiding to switch them. This may lead some inconsistent behaviours, like this one that you are facing.

Otherwise, if portal and backend systems are running in the same protocol, read the following:

1) Check your system alias in the portal. It should be SAP_SRM.

If you have created your own system alias, please maintain the following

entries:

- In Customizing: SAP Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server ->

Technical Basic Settings -> Define System Landscape: In column 'System

Alias f. POWL Navigation', please enter your newly created system

alias;

- In table /SAPSRM/V_PORT_C (with transaction SM30), please maintain the

following value: Port of the SAP Portal (Internal).

2)To solve the issue with displaying Shopping Carts you have to add the

domain to your URL. The navigation from POWL only works if you have a

fully specified URL which contains the host and the domain name. If you

call the portal with the following URL:

http://host.domain:port/irj/portal probably you will able to display the

Shopping Cart.

This means, for navigation you have to add the domain to the URL.

Hi Ricardo,

Problem is not only with the shopping cart display, I have the issue with every POWL buttons (Shopping cart, business partner etc).

I am able to create shopping cart, sourcing, Business partner so connection seems fine to me.. The only issue with the POWL ACTION buttons.

I tried with the options you suggested but still no positive result.

What's your portal URL look like? You can mask the server / domain name.

Hi,

My Portal url is http://xyz:50100/irj/portal

Could you please explain some more abt masking and how this will solve my problems?

Thanks,

As I had posted before, your issue is most likely related to the protocol. We had the exact same problem before and configuring the portal to run HTTPS resolved it.

I also assume your browser setting is allowing pop-up windows.

Hi

Did you check the roles that are assigned to user. Give SAP_ALL and check it out.

Hi,

Please give us details.

What is object?

Which button?

What does it mean "not working"? Is it not active or no response after click?

Try to use HTTPS as your portal protocol.

Hi,

We have faced this issue, when we check that webas protocol , ITS protocal were given differently. Later we gave same protocal like HTTP or HTTPS not Mixed.

Also check the hostnames , path as well...

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Abdul,

As this is SRM 7.0 so I am not using ITS parameter (ITS host name, ITS path and Protocol) however I have tried by giving the same protocol as you told but still there is not response for the POWL buttons.

I have given the web as path /sap/bc/webdynpro, I hope this should be ok.

The only problem is with the POWL buttons, rest everything is fine.

Please help.

Thanks,

Ankur
