Service sheet reversal from S4 HANA to Ariba

Hello Experts,

we are having a unique scenario linking time entry process in S4 and service entry sheets creation in S4 and linking the SES into Ariba ( since all purchase requisition to Invoicing is happening in Ariba).

Sequential steps.

1. Create Ariba Service PR with child line items in Ariba upon approval the requisition is converted to a purchase order in ERP and PO number is sent to Ariba Network via Ariba Buying. ( The worker information is captured at the Purchase order level)

2. Contingent workers will enter time in custom solution developed over S4 HANA and time entry is made in S4 HANA and approved in S4 HANA

3. Approved time entries are converted into the service entry sheets in S4 HANA and exported into Ariba ( we are having commodity code mapping issue for imported SES) which Ariba team is looking into the issue

challenge - For time entry reversals in S4 HANA, SAP creates the Reversal SES with return indicator and new SES with corrected value, we also have the initial SES in Ariba before reversal. 

Note - we have reached out to our SAP Shared services team, raised a case and we haven't got any valid response apart from sharing the CIG guide.

we are looking for a process how ERP SES reversals are integrated with Ariba so that we can look into enhancement options to fulfil end to end requirements.

Observations.

1. The reversal SES generated in ERP payload doesn't have any indicator or negative value since system is trying to create reversal SES also as a new SES in Ariba.

Example - Original approved time entry created - SES 1

Time entry reversal - SES 2 ( with returns indicator)

Corrected Time entry - SES 3
