Dear expert,
We are upgrading our SRM from 4.0 to 7.0. We use Classic scenario and have turned on service procurement. So we have deployed PI to transfer purchasing documents in form of XML documents between SRM and EBP systems.we did not use contract management in SRM.
When we tried to create service contract after bid invitation, we found that the service item did not have any service lines, which did appear in the quotation. We checked the related XML document and found there was no service line data too.
However, if we converted the bid invitation to PO, the PO service item got all the required service lines. No problem.
Your help would be really appreciated.
Best Regards,
Bill

Request clarification before answering.
This could be a bug. Try to see if the following notes are applicable to your SRM system:
Note 1431938 - Issue with creation of Backend Contract with proc type PCTR
Note 1358536 - Issues with enabling Item Hierarchies in Contracts

Dear Jay ,
I have applied the notes following your advice.
Now, the XML in SRM and ERP side are Ok , include hierarchy information, but there still are not hierarchy information in ERP contract . I do not know if it is a bug in ERP side , or there is any notes to fix this issue in ERP side.
Best Regards,
Bill
This is for SRM 7 Ehp 1. Try and see if it is applicable for your system:
Note 1470784 Not possible to create Item hierarchy in contract
If none of the notes works, I'd recommend that you create an OSS message for SAP. In my opinion, if PO created from hierarchical Quotation is fine while Contract is not, it is likely a bug.
