Sequential Numbering Skipped(Master agreement)

Hello,

I have issue for sequential numbering procurement master agreement. System is not following correct sequence number while creating master agreement. For example in the below image,PMA-000310-2013 after that the generated next master agreement number is PMA-000533-2013.

please note my increment counter is 1( in the numbering configuration).

can some body tell why system behaves like this? can some throw light on this issue,please?

Hi Jaheer,

As you may have found out, what you are seeing is an expected behavior even though it might seem odd. There is no guarantee  that the numbering of the documents will be sequential. There are several reasons why a document id was generated and assigned to a document however the document was never successfully saved and may have been discarded. As a result that particular ID is permanently taken.
