Searching product category Issue in SRM 5.0

Hi,

What is the difference between searching product category in ..

1) Monitor shopping Cart screen and

2) while creating the shopping cart.

in monitor shopping cart screen while I am searching product category and getting all the product category list which exist in the system

But while creating shopping cart, when I am selecting/searching product category I am getting limited no of list

I am not getting where is the restriction setting.

Jairaj,

Beside extended attributes, Check 'Product' and 'Org' Responsiblity for Purch Grp under which Requester resides.

Hi,

While creating shopping cart it is fine, below the actual issue ...

In MONITOR SHOPPING CART search product category, when I am searching it is showing both the

R3MATCLASS and R3PRODSTYP Hierarchy product category list and I want to restrict to R3MATCLASS and dont want R3PRODSTYP Hierarchy list .

Hi Jai,

Did you identify the reason for not getting the product categories while creating shopping cart eventhough you maintained as * in the extended attributes ?

Meanwhile, with regard to your another question, it is not possible to restrict in displaying the values of either R3PRODSTYP or R3MATCLASS alone in monitor shopping cart as per standard.

If you maintain separate number range or other for those then you can get the list accordingly i.e. like for R3PRODSTYP will always start MAT*..

Hi,

Restriction is made against your userid in the extended attribute tab on organisation structure. Please select the product category option button under extended attribute where what are all the product categories to be visible or can be requested by you during creation of shopping cart.

I have checked the extened attribute in PPOSA_BBP, there it was maintained as " * " (star), still not clear.

Hi Jai,

Then please check the attribute inheritance tab where the product categoires which are excluded will be available against your user. Please go to change/display mdoe and select the attribute product category from the list and then check and let us know.

This could also be the reason for the same.
