SC - Approved but status is 'Awaiting Approval' and no follow-on document

Hi,

If a shopping cart is approved, the approval preview shows that all approvers have approved it & it is complete.

However, when you check the status of the Shopping Cart, it still shows 'Awaiting Approval'.

In addition, BBP_PD states that no follow-on document was created.

What can I do to trouble-shoot this issue?

Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

What is the document status and workflow status in BBP_PD?

Document Status: Awaiting approval

Workflow Status: ??

If workflow status is completed, some error occured to create follow-on document. I this case you can find error info in RZ20 transaction or SC Monitor.

Regards,

Masa

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The workflow status is either 'Started' or 'Waiting'. Some Shopping Carts have had this status for days.

I did a trace through transactions SWELS and SWEL during the approval of the shopping cart.

Got an error of 'No receiver entered'. Anyone know what this could be?

Hi,

Please check workflow log.

Go to BBP_PD and find the Workitem-ID. Copy the Workitem-ID and open it in SWI1 transaction. You can get more detail information.

Workflow Item:

Workitem-ID 000000087943

Task WS40000014

Hi,

You probably have a workitem that was not cloased yet, because of it the Workflow status is "Started" or "Awaiting".

Please check the workflow log in the SWI6. You can complete manually it by SWIA.

Please follow this example:

1)

Complete the document manually:

A. Go to SWIA transaction :

Complete the WF pressing "Complete Manually"

Then the WF status should be "completed"

B. IF so, go to transaction SWO1:

Put the object type: BUS2201 (Purchase Order)

Click on "Test"

In "Instance" put the PO number: 4400015308

Then execute the "setrelease" method:

REQNO: 4400015308

INITIATOR: "User"

Has the PO a inconsostency status ? Have you tried release the document ?

Thank you,

Hi,

Thanks for all of the responses.

I have checked the workflow logs in SWI1 and SWIA. Everything seems ok, just that the workitems are stuck in the status "In Process".

I have also tried manually completing the workflow in SWIA.

While the status in BBP_PD & SWI1/SWIA changes to complete, a follow-on document is not created. The status in the shopping cart still shows it as 'Awaiting Approval'.

One note - after manually completing the workflow, in SWI1/SWIA, one of the steps status changes from "In Process" to "Logically Deleted".

Still looking ... this problem is annoying.

Hi,

So, It is correct document status as "Awaiting Approval", because workflow is still "In Process" status.

You need to check Which workflow template do you use and which step is the current step and stuck.

Thanks. I know which step is stuck, I just don't know what's causing this issue.

I've tried to re-activate the work-flows (even though they were active), amongst other things. Can't find the source of the error.

Hi,

If workflow was working before, I think issue is in basis side.

Is there any related entry in SM58? Workflow runtime uses tRFC communication.

Yep - Hit the nail right on the head.

We checked transaction SWU3, which showed a red X on the CONFIGURE RFC DESTINATION node. In addition, the trfc user was locked.

Called up BASIS. They unlocked the trfc user & synchronized the password. They have added these instructions to our re-cut process, so it shouldn't happen again.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Okay. New problem.

After BASIS changed it:

- It is creating follow-on documents in the PR system for shopping carts that were created before the change

- Any new shopping carts have approval previous errors, with the following message in the approval preview "No workflow started. Application error occurred"
