SAP Sourcing 9.0: External Numbering in ECC possible?

Hi experts,

Can we use external number range in SAP ECC for transfer of suppliers from SAP CLM into SAP ECC to ensure same numbering with SAP Sourcing 9.0? I found a chapter in the config guide for SAP Sourcing 10.0, but not in the config guide for SAP Sourcing 9.0.

   It is very much possible, it is supported for 7.x and above..
