We are migrating our ECC systems to S/4 and will be using phased approach. so the ariba system will be communicating to multiple ERP systems. I am wondering if we need to set up Multi-ERP in ARIBA or if this can be done without setting up multi-erp and child realms by performing custom routing in SAP Managed integration gateway?
Request clarification before answering.
Hello @krishg
Please confirm whether your current SAP Ariba environment is FPC or Multi-ERP enabled , if yes how child realms are integrated with SAP ECC system (1:1 or 1:n ?). Technically it is possible to integrate one child realm (if FPC) or single standalone realm using CIG custom routing functionality BUT it is not recommended. If you are integrating multiple SAP ECC/S4 systems with one child, then it would require master data rationalization activity for e.g. Company Code is unique across all SAP systems and vendor IDs are unique between different SAP ERP systems etc.
Hope this help!

Hi Mridul,
Thanks for your response. We had been integrating with single ECC system so far and it is due to migration that we will have to route to different ERP systems (the existing ECC and the migrated S4). In such scenarios, master data rationalization and managing unique master data should suffice?
