Hello, our company has implemented SAP Ariba Sourcing Guided Sourcing module last year, going live in May 2024. Adoption has been going well, but are consistently running into issues with invited suppliers unable to access our sourcing events. The issues vary from suppliers not receiving the RFx invitation email to inability to access our Guided Sourcing event due to Ariba registration or linking existing supplier ANID.
There is limited support provided by SAP Ariba for this and from simple internet searches see this is a common issue for many companies and was hoping to hear from some other companies who have found a way to manage these supplier access issues for their guided sourcing events.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
It's happened sometime, in my experience from other Ariba Sourcing customers, a comprehensive supplier guide is very useful, to help them complete the registration process and bid response smoothly.
Secondly, depending on the volume of your suppliers, you may consider to build a supplier support mechanism (Support Email, Hotline, regular supplier enablement meeting etc.)
Last but not least, there is a functionality called "Surrogate bids", the user who has the authorization can do the bid on behalf of the supplier, please keep in mind this is a powerful role, only limited user should be granted. For more details, please see https://learning.sap.com/videos/performing-surrogate-bidding-in-guided-sourcing-events
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Sirui
