Restrict Attachments in Purchase Order Output IDOC (ARBCIG_ORDERS)

Hi Team,

Can we restrict attachments in the Purchase order output that is sent to Ariba?

As per the requirements all the attachments that are flowing from PO to Ariba needs to be restricted both at header & line item level.

I am not sure what do you mean by "restricted"?

attachments are in control of what you do in SAP system, if you wish you can customise the output and not include any attachments.

Hi Prem,

At the time of PO creation, some PO relevant attachments are automatically added through DMS & the same attachments are flowing to Ariba Network.

I wanted to check if we can stop these attachments to flow to Ariba.

yes you can stop it through enhancements.

Thanks for the input.

As a solution, we have added a Delete statement in "EXIT_SAPLEINM_002" for "E1ARBCIG_ATTACH_HDR_DET" & "E1ARBCIG_ATTACH_CONTENT_DET" nodes in PO IDOC, this fulfils the requirement.

Currently our project requirement is to restrict only header level attachments , if we implement above logic both item level and header attachments is restricted because in outbound IDOC both item level and header attachment is getting stored in same segment "E1ARBCIG_ATTACH_HDR_DET" .

Could you please assist to restrict only header level attachments to supplier DSN.
