Responsible Employee field in contracts

I would like to know what is the meaning of the field "Responsible Employee" in the contract.

What is the difference between "Responsible Purchasing Group" and Responsible Employee?

This I already know but I wan't to understand what is the difference between responsible purchasing group to responsible employee. Why do I need a responsible employee in the contract? for which use?

normally buyers only Creates a Contract so their names as responsible employee. responsible purchase group means. this purchase group is responsible for this Contract.

so that in the purchasing contract you can see this purchase group / PO and respective company code

RESPONSIBLE EMPLOYEE means a person who creates a contract.
