Hello,

you will need to do a second round by creating a new RFx.

I do not remember if you can create a new RFx based on a Bid Invitation as reference.

Laurent.

Hello Tamas/Laurent,

kindly tell me after bidding process if the buyer wants to negotiate the price with the vendor then is there any other way to update the negotiated price in SRM system

Dear Srinivasa,

Have you tried this process with a purchaser user, who has only purchaser role assigned and not a manager role?

This may work, after the RFx Response has been approved by an approver user with manager role and with the price, the bidder has submitted. After the approval, the response is accessible again to the purchaser user. This time, the purchaser user could change the price instead of the bidder.

But the second version of this process could work as well. Would it not work, that instead of manager and purchaser user, simply the bidder user changes the new price of the rfx response?

Best regards,

Tamas

Hello Tamas,

your answer is quite strange: quotation is generated by the Bidder, so this is the Bidder response to a RFx.

I do not understand the business rule stating that the customer (Purchaser) could change this document as he is not the onwer of this document...

Maybe it is possible, but only if surrogate bidding is activated for this Bidder.

Regards.

Laurent.

Hello Laurent,

Exactly as you described. If surrogate bidding is configured, the purchaser can submit a response on behalf of the bidder.

Each company should decide, if they use this option or not and is compliant with their processes.

But what Srinivasa wants to achieve, that the approval user could change the price during the approval of the response, is not possible due to legal issues.

Best regards,

Tamas
