Question on "Supplier Draft Phase" in ESO

Hello Experts,

We're almost done configuring our ESO 5.1 Workflows. However, we are stuck on the "Supplier Draft" phase.

This phase is a system phase, and thus, a required one. This phase is supposedly needed so the vendor can review the contract.

However, it seems vendor can't be added as an Approver, as "Approver role" is restricted only to collaborators (buy-side users).

How exactly can we add the vendor contact to "approve" the contract? Is this even possible? Any scripting example (or explanation on this particular phase) would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

As you already said suppliers cannot be added as collaborators to contract document. the Workflow approval process is internal and also when a document is in workflow you cannot edit a document.

During contract negotiations you would want the suppliers to view & edit (check-out and check-in )the contract document during the negotiation phase and hence locking out a document in workflow engige might not be the best.

In the next release ECO sign integration is in place, where you can get electronic signatures on document...
