Hello Consultants,
We are using PPS SRM 7.0 EHP 2 (Extended Classic Scenario). When a Purchase Requisition with Services hierarchy is transferred to SRM, we want to preserve the hierarchy in the follow-on documents (RFx and PO). I am not able to find much inofrmation on this.
What is the best way of doing this? Do we have to write custom code to accomplish this? I know that in Extended Classic, Service Hierarchies are available in Central Contracts only.
Thanks in advance.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Ali
First you should check your ERP version. In order to transfer PRs with service hierarchy, you should be in ECC 6.04 at least, and through SAP PI (if you have 6.05, you can set up an eSOA scenario without PI).
With badi ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST you control the transfer of PRs from ERP to SRM (business function LOG_MM_P2PSE_1 needs to be activated, that's why you need EHP 4 at least for ERP).
The PRs can be transferred automatically or using CPPR (collective processing of PR) manually.
Look for Plan Driven Procurement, Procurement of External Requirementes or CPPR in Help or SCN to gather more info.

Martin

Hi Martin,
Thanks for you time. This can be used in Extended Classic as well, Correct?
If so, then...
Yes, we are using ECC 6.0, EHP 5. Business function LOG_MM_P2PSE_1 is activated as well.
With badi ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST, CPPR can be used to transfer the ECC PR.
Now, we have 3 options...
1) Upon Save, PR is transferred to SRM Sourcing automatically
2) In CPPR, purchaser transfers PR to SRM Sourcing manually
3) In CPPR, purchaser transfers PR into Bidding Engine as a saved RFx (manually).
Now my main question is: Once PR (or RFx) is in SRM (With Hierarchy line items), Can a single PO be created with those Hierarchies? Currently we are using a workaround which results in system splitting RFx follow-on PO into multiple POs.
Thanks again for your help.
Hello Ali,
As far as I know, till SRM 7.02 does not support service hierarchy in SRM local purchase orders.
It is not support in Extended classic scenario, i will describe you the process flow and how it works:
Prereqs:
SRM ECS
Template HIER_SE assinged to doc class SC EXTR and RFx type BID (or your custom ones).
LOG_MM_P2PSE_1 and LOG_MM_CI_2 is required if you want to use CPPR (note 1)
Service Procurement 1 BF and switch turned on (for note 2, 3 and 4)
1. PR created in MM with service hierarchies.
Note 1: PDP does not allow you to transfer hierarchies, so the only way for this in SRM 7 is trhu CPPR.
2. Transfer PRs automatically or on-demand with CPPR.
3. SC is created from PR with Service hierarchies items.
4. a. Carry out sourcing you assing a Source of Supply and SOCO automatically choose Backend System from Product Category and BSA attribute and draft is created for a Backend Purchase Order.
Note 2: Purchase Order with Services hierarchies are created in Backend if all items are correct or if you have activated Park and Hold for this backend system.
4. b. Carry out sourcing from the PRs you want and create a draft of a RFx locally with service hierarchies.
5. With suppliers bids you can create backend purchase orders directly to backend system defined by Product categories and BSA attrs.
Note 3: Purchase Order with Services hierarchies are created in Backend if all items are correct or if you have activated Park and Hold for this backend system.
6. With suppliers bids you can create local Central Contracts using the attr create local contract of your organizational structure.
Note 4: You only can create Local Contracts if you have active customizing switch for Contract management Innovations.
Hope it helps you.
Regards,
Sebastián
Hello Ali,
Customizing switch is not compatible with PPS.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm702/helpdata/EN/ac/8a9d9b31364d91b5c12446389ec96f/frameset.htm
Until SRM not support services hierarchies templates in local Purchase Orders and they do not upgrade PO transfer/replication to backend; it will not work in ECS.

Sebastian
Hi Qureshi,
I am also working on the similar scenario.
We are going to implement PPS functionality for materials as well as services with implementation scenario as ECS. Whereas ECS is not going to support service procurement. It is exactly same process as explained above.
Could you please explain, in what way you have provided solution for the above scenario.
Could you please provide if any supporting documents for the same to below mail id. It will helpful for me
Thanks is advance
Regards
Ravi.
