Publication failure locked CCM catalog

Hi,

On trying to publish a CCM 2.0 catalog this morning, an error was encountered due to the failure to extend table SAPEP1./CCM/D_VALUE_D. Our BASIS team have rectified that issue however Iu2019m left with a Catalog that still thinks its publishing although the batch job has failed.

I've found the excellent Wikki articles by Jason Boggans.

[Publication in SAP Catalog and Content Management (CCM 2.0)|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/PublicationinSAPCatalogandContentManagement%28CCM2.0%29]

We have the situation where the Catalog's status shows as locked/in progress in tables

/CCM/D_CTLG_REQ,

/CCM/D_UPD_STATE

/ CCM/D_PUB_ST

However I've still got questions:

It says the use of the CCM/CLEANUP reports is not recommended by SAP customers - should I really log a Customer message. Or is using these reports for updating the table for this simple scenario OK?. What are the possible Side effects?

If I could run the reports myself does the order matter> I.e. which table should the status be changed first?

Thanks

Hi,

I am glad you have found my Wiki documents useful

As far as the cleanup goes, it is of course something you can do yourself but be careful, be sure of what you are doing before you do it as once you delete a catalog or catalog version, there is no rollback, it is gone! So make sure you are performing the steps as described in the articles I created earlier.

If you are not confident to do this you can create a customer message as I can assist you there with the cleanup either.

Regards,

Jason
