Product ID Validation

Hi ,

IN SRM Shopping Cart , when invalid Product ID say 111 ( Material ) is entered we will get an error message as

goods/service 000000000000000000000000000000000111 may be length of 40 taking from SRM tables.

but we need it to restrict to length of 18. Could any suggest how to achieve this. i checked many BADI's but i guess this validation is done before this it self.

Can you check the product length under t code COMCPRFORMAT?

Its Product lenght is 18

Display leading zeros is space

save lexicographically is space
