Product Catergory could not be identified Uniquely -BBP_PD273 (message no.

Hello Guys

When the approver tries to change the Prodcut category in the Limit SC , we are getting the error " Product Catergory could not be identified Uniquely " with message no. : BBP_PD273.

I have checked all the table of COMM_CATEGORY and there is no dual GUIDs for category ID.

Could you please let me know how can we resolve this error.

Hi Muthu,

Yes, SAP Support just sent me and said it is a 'pilot' note (don't know what that means)

Try applying this note - 1456417 - Ambiguous product category disappears in purchaser.It solved the issue in our system.

How are you? We have a similar error in SRM 7. I have opened a OSS Message. Will let you know if SAP comes with a fix. Or have you managed to solve this? Please let me know.

You can check OSS note 1437879 - Changing the product category determines incorrect entry.

let manager reject the cart .

again Purchaser will create a new limit cart with correct product category.

since this product category piece related to many data .like purchase group / gl account.

better manager reject the cart and purchaser will create another cart.
