Problem with Vendor replication

Hi All,

We have received a unique request from the customer where they want to replicate plant as a vendor. They have created plant with four digit number in ECC and created vendor for the same plant with separate 6 digit number in ECC.

Now plant was replicated at the time of implementation but vendor is created recently. So when we are trying to replicate this plant using BBPGETVD, it is linking to the same BP number which is created for plant.

Now problem are as below:-

1. As plant is centrally blocked for purchasing so can't use this plant while creating shopping cart.
2. As BP number of both plant and vendor is same because of that when user is searching vendor, he is not able to find vendor.

So need expert advice from all of you that how can I replicate plant and vendor separately so that plant can be used as location in item data tab and vendor can be used as source of supply.

PS. Already tried to replicate vendor removing address comparison flag.

Thanks for your reply. This was helpful but we settled this with client in other way and asked then to create Vendor separately.

Hi Siddarth,

That is also fine. As indicated in the wiki, if you do not want to have sane BP number as plant, you have to replicate vendor first and then assign plant in ECC side, and then replicate ECC plant, and update the vendor again.
