Hello,

As per standard design, it is possible to delete a shopping cart if only

one follow-on document exists. For example, a purchase order or a

purchase requisition.

When you delete the shopping cart in EBP, the deletion indicator will

be set in the purchase order.

You cannot delete the shopping cart if the follow-on document has other

follow-on documents, like confirmation or invoice.

The following is the standard behaviour for SC/limit SC deletion:

SC -> PO : deletion possible

SC -> PReq: deletion possible

SC -> PReq + PO: deletion NOT possible

SC -> PO + CF: deletion NOT possible

SC -> PReq + PO + CF: deletion NOT possible

SC -> PO + CF + INV: deletion NOT possible

SC -> PReq + PO + CF + INV: deletion NOT possible

Standard logic: in general SC does not prevent the deletion of SC items

just because of existence of follow-on documents.

The SC item itself does not know if the deletion is possible.

It just tries to delete the corresponding item of follow-on document.

If this deletion has been successful, then also the SC item can

and will be deleted. If the deletion of follow-on document item has

failed, the SC item deletion is not possible.

So it is a task of follow-on document to know if its items can be

deleted or not.

Hi

Thanks.

But as i have mentioned earlier, if the item has been deleted in follow-on document, the status is not updated in SC that 'Follow-on document created'. In SC, completely the PO number is vanished and the link between PO and SC is no where seen in BBP_PD.

There was a SAP note suggested that report 'CLEAN_REQREQ_UP' to be scheduled. but this report is already running. Eventhough the status in SC is not updated.

Secondly when follow-on doc. is created for a SC, how can we prevent the user to delete the SC item by disabling the delete button?

Any suggestion please?

Hi Ricardo.

Is it possible to change the standard behaviour in any way?

eg: A cart has only a PO created - as per standard behaviour, deletion of that cart item is allowed. Is it possible to change that behaviour either through config or development changes?

Please advice.

Thanks.

Anuradha.

Yes. SAP SRm standard allows to delete the sc item though PO created.

but if you do good receipt you can not delete the shopping cart item.

you need to discuss and develop a business process what should be done if PO created.

either requester inform the BUYER to delete the Purchase order rather requester deletes the shopping cart item. let REQUESTER inform the BUYER that he/she does not require this material anymore. so tat BUYER can set delete the PO and communicate to the vendor.

Ok. Thanks Muthu.

But suppose when the purchaser delete the line item in PO before the arrival of goods, the Shopping cart status is not updated that 'Follow on document (PO number) item deleted" so that the request know that PO has been deleted. We have checked even the following reports which are already scheduled in the system: CLEAN_REQREQ_UP & BBP_GET_STATUS_2.

Could you please throw some light on this issue?

Thanks and Regards

Hi

once BUYER deletes the purchase order , the status of the shopping cart also must changed like follow on document deleted and this cart will venture to cockpit for again BUYER intervention to source a new vendor.

what is the status in the shopping cart line item if your BUYER delete the purchase order?

--

Note 1529946 - "Follow-on Document Deleted" active although doc was created - kindly checkSymptom

When a follow-on document is deleted in the back-end system and is then transferred again from within the Sourcing Cockpit, the status "Follow-on Document Deleted" remains active.

Hello Muthu

Actually ours is a Extended Classic and Processing PO is in SRM itself. When the Buyer deletes the PO, in Shopping cart still the status is 'Follow on Document created'.

as like classic your shopping cart status turned to follow-on document deleted if you set delete a PO in Extended classic as well .

kindly explore your bbp_pd - more on sc and po . status should be changed otherwsie REQUESTER get confused .

Already users are scared on shopping cart ITEM STATUS they says your shopping cart has tooo many statuses ...
