Is it mandatoryto install the protal for SRM Server 7.0 or not?

Hi,

You can use Portal or NWBC. As per my knowledge NWBC is available for SRM 7.0 also.

Starting SRM 7.01 you don't need a Enterprise Portal but can work just with NWBC. But remember, if you are using other components like CLM, SPM etc., you won't be able to do integrate them to one single portal.

With SRM 7.00 - you required to have portal initially. But at some point of time - SAP released a OSS notes applying which you get a switch - on activating that, you can use the SRM 7.0 without EP.

since the statements were so different meanwhile I have installed the Portal SAP NW 7 EHP 1.

pls. advice how to go forward now regarding link or combine with SRM 7.

Hi,

You can use NWBC client with SAP SRM 7.0 SP 10 onwards.

Now you have installed SAP NW 7 EHP 1. You can certainly carry with it.

Yes. It's mandatory to install Enterprise Portal for SRM 7.0.

For further versions you can go with NWBC.
