PO Version Number not available in PO List displays (ME2L, ME2K, etc)

I have configured PO Version Management. My PO's are working as desired with proper output.

However, the PO Version Number is not displayed in my PO List Display tcodes (ME2L, ME2K, etc) nor is it available to add to the layout. I have configured the Scope of List for "BEST" (PO's) to include change documents. However, there is nothing when I go to ME2L for a PO that has 15 versions. I have verified that EKKO does contain the latest version number for this PO.

Have I missed a config step??

Hi

All these transactions will display the active only version of the PO. YOu need not select any version for list displays. If you ve to go to a specific version, you can navigate to that through PO Versions sections in Purchase Order

Please post this question in MM forum in case this does not solve your purpose.

Thank you - I did post in MM once I realized I posted in SRM.

I realize that only the current version is displayed in these transactions. But I need to see the actual version number - no the history - just the current version number. We use these reports to supply our Internal Auditors with PO Data and they require to see the PO # and Version # without having to actually pull up each PO individually in the system.

I had assumed that since they use EKKO and EKKO contains REVNO that REVNO would be available in my layout and I could simply add it to the report. However, this is not the case.

Thanks,

Tonia

Hi

REVNO in EKKO will give you the version number. At least I see them matching between ME21N display and table value display.

Yes EKKO will give me REVNO - but my question is why can't I see REVNO in ME2L, ME2K, etc as these list displays use EKKO??

Hi

These are the reports in standard SAP which does not give Version Number displayed as result. But these reports will always displays the data from latest version.

But you can drill down to the data given by these reports to find the version no. For example ME2L, If you use CHANGES button for an item, system will display the version number in drilled down screen

This is the way it is set up in Standard SAP. But you may develop your own report to meet your requirements
