PDP - Direct and indirect difference.

What is difference between Indirect procurement and direct procurement in Plan driven procurement. With necessary examples.

Thanks for the good links you posted earlier.

But my question is, in PDP of classical scenario u2013 the PR from backends (shopping carts in EBP) is a indirect procurement in PDP . Then what is direct procurement in PDP.

Santhosh,

PRs from ECC are created after the MRP run for direct materials and these are available as SCs in SOCO of SRM. This is direct procurement in PDP.

Okay thats fine, then what is indirect procurement in PDP.

I came to know through sap help, Direct material procurement in PDP is not supported. (Refer to SAP Note 505030)

Please elaborate the both.
