Partial PO number search functionality- Items to Ship on CA

Dear all- wants to check on the partial search functionality, where supplier can pass the partial number of PO rather than exact number of PO on Items to Ship Screen

So, does this partial order number search with a particular partial number only, for example: PO # 4500001198, when entered as '45000', it give supplier a result.

However, when entered as '1198' it does not give any result.

Our understanding and analysis here is that the partial search key should always start with the beginning number of PO, in this case let say '4', system will always give a result. However, if the partial search key is not starting with '4', system will not give any result.

Request you to please confirm what is the expected input value which this field will consider for partial search-

'Partial Order Search works only if the number input have the starting number of the PO, else, it will not give result.

Hi Sandeep,

This is design behaviour of Partial search as it always works from left to right as algorithm.So, 1198 will not provide any result for that PO until something starts with 11 but 450 or 4500 will provide desired result of POs starting with 45.
