Hi Experts,
I am curious to learn how the community deals with the inability to edit the Purchasing Group in a PR or PO change document.
Also, there is a Customer Influence item 267995 (Purchase Org and Purchasing Group fields to be editable on a Change Order) that needs 6 more votes.
We assign a person to a Purchasing Group. Then PRs are assigned to that Purchasing Group (person). When the activity from one business area increased the load of a Purchasing Group, then we wish to change the Purchasing Group on those POs to a different Purchasing Group. Ariba does not allow this capability that SAP ECC supports.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Appreciate your answer, but this does not seem to help our current business practice. We have buyers that specialize in lines of business-operations, IT, HR, etc. Our preference would be to have the same person process transactions from the same business area. Also, we perform a lot of ERP reporting based upon the Purchasing Group.

Not the exact solution you were looking for, but if the issue is capacity then you might want to look into the Procurement Operations Desk functionality. It allows you to setup work queues for processing transactions (e.g. Requisitions) using a shared service model. Users belonging to that queue 'pull' Requisitions into their own personal queue to work on. There's also functionality for a Queue Manager which can do things like reassign transactions from one user to another. I think there's SLA tracking as well.
