Organizational structure in the S / 4 Hana

Hi all,

in SAP SRM, the organizational structure was an essential component of the procurement process. There, data such as company code, cost center, account assignment category, catalog, etc. was also maintained depending on the user or the organizational unit. How will this be mapped in the S / 4Hana procurement hub in the future?

In SAP SRM, there were also very specific roles for the procurement process, such as the buyer, the secretary, the requester, the manager, etc. Will there be similar special roles in the S / 4Hana Procurement Hub?

Thanks for help

Hi,

In Central procurement, we require minimal set of master data to be maintained in the hub system, such as company code, plant, purch, org. for other set of data we rely on connected systems & fetch the data directly from respective system

In central procurement, yes we do have roles such as central purchaser, manager & employee

Hello Anupam,

you did not answer to the question.

As explained by Abdulla, many business rules were managed by help of the organizational structure in SRM (e.g. for workflow).

For example:

- purchasing group responsabilities are managed by organizational and/or product category responsabilities,

- product category purchasing authorization,

- account assignment authorization,

- Ship-To and Bill-To addresses,

and many more...

How this is managed in S/4HANA?

By RFC access to corresponding backend for each user? This is what you mean?

Regards.

Laurent.
