Open Purchase Orders Migration

Hi Everyone - We’re working on an ECC to S/4 transformation project and our client has Ariba B&I realm connected to ECC today. The documents currently flow between the systems as explained below.

1) Create PR in Ariba -> Replicate PR to ECC -> Update ECC PR # in Ariba

2) Convert PR to PO in Ariba -> Replicate PO to ECC -> Update ECC PO # in Ariba

We need help to understand the best practices or approach we should follow to migrate the open PO’s to S/4 with this set up. For e.g do we need to convert open PRs and POs both as new documents in Ariba first and then replicate to S/4 or just convert the open POs from ECC to S/4 directly (which I think will cause issues in the integrations later if someone changes such POs after go live). Or what would be the right steps to migrate open POs in this case to make sure we don’t break anything.
