Hi All,
We are about to start SRM 7 implementation.
There is a requirement from customer to migrate all old closed Shopping carts from old SRM 3.0 system to newly implemented SRM 7.0.3 system.
All old shopping carts (milions of records and more than 500K of attachments) need to be migrated.
We would like to know the technical feasibility whether anyone has come across this type of requirement. Also let me know whether SAP has provided any tool to support this kind of huge volume of data migration.
Regards,
Arindam

HI Arindam
Generally after the upgrade the transactional data is automatically migrated but sometimes it would cause an issue in the approval processes for which you need to close all the objects manually
since currently you would be on ACW you can chose to stay with it or look for the new PCW installtion .
More than worrying about the data migration you should also check which approach you would like to
go for i.e fresh installation or upgrade of the existing system which maybe 1 one step (SRM 3 > SRm 7)
or 2 step process (SRM 3 > SRm 5 >> SRm 7) which can be time consuming
Check these links and also raise a note to SAP
EBP 3.0 upgrade to SRM 7.0 via SRM 5.0 | SCN
