Offline approval emails are not triggering

Hi All,

Outbound approval emails are not triggering for some users. I have checked user profile for attribute “Forward” which is set to X as expected and checked user email id in SU01D where I see communication method is blank (can be Remote Email) but it will not stop receiving mail. Also, checked email id in BP and SU01D which looks fine. I have even forwarded a shopping cart but that dint trigger email in SOST.


Many users are getting approval emails but not these users. Am i missing anything to check. Please suggest.

Hi Prasath

I am assuming you are using the standard report /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND

can you try to debug the report as per the link mentioned below .

If only specific users are not getting emails . It should  be the settings which you have already checked i;e SU01d email address to be maintained and to Set the attribute FORWARD_WI for the requester at PPOMA_BBP transaction

Also check if there is some code in BADI BBP_OFFLINE_APP_BADI  this could also have some issues which you could find in debugging


lastly check :

1. If these users do not get any email or not get emails for specific SC

2. Check authorization is same for these users and others who receive the email although this should not matter as such

3. Please check below sap notes as well .

1721641 - No email sent in case of passive substitution

1763570 - Multiple or no emails are triggered for a workitem in offline approval.

1710219 - Maintaining the email addresses for offline approval
