Not able to find Mapping file in Import manager to map catalog

Hi,

I am using MDM for first time. I am able to load catalog items sucessfully into import manager. After loading i selected File -> Open from import manager menu bar. The Open map should show Available maps to map tha catalog i loaded. but i am not able to see any maps.

Where to set this Maps and how to configure this.

Hi,

Please save your mapping first.

File -> Save AS

File -> Export..

File -> Import ...

Thanks for your response. What mapping should i save, do i need to import mapping file first? how to create this mapping file. can you please sample maping file.

Hi,

When you import contents at first time, you manually map the fields. Then you should save the mapping and name it.

When you import contents next time, you can reuse the mapping and do not need manual mapping again.

Hi Masa,

I am able to load catalog items successfullly , when i Open map, it says "Error opening Map file" Invalid external data.

If i go to Map Fields/Values, i am not able to see anything in Field mapping. please help me how to map, i am new to MDM.

Does it mean you just load contents from file to Import Manager or load contents to MDM Repository?

I think you can not load items to MDM Repository without field mapping.

Can you see the items in Data Manager?
