no work item to approve

Hi folks,

SRM 7.0 and working on BRF workflow.The approver is not receiving the work item to approve.

I have done all the technical automatic workflow settings and have activated the 1-step approval for shopping cart BC set.

Now when i create a SCart, it is picking the right approver..but the status in the approval preview says:

level statusActive (assigned process is running)

--status is Open (no decision made)

When i go to check BBP_PD, the status is 'started'.

Can someone point me as to how to resolve this issue?

I guess you have not configured "Generalize Task" which is a part of technical Basic Settings.

Generalize Tasks

Use

In this Customizing activity, you set all tasks of task groups TG 40000003 and TG 40000007 as 'general'. General tasks can be processed by all users.

Activities

Perform the activity as follows:

1. Select Task Group as the task type.

2. Enter a task group, omitting the prefix TG. For example, enter 40000003 and not TG 40000003. You can use wildcard characters to perform mass changes.

3. Choose Execute.

4. The column Status displays whether a task is a general task. To set one or more tasks as general, select their lines and choose Generalize.

I have already done that....all the tasks in the column 'status' is green for both 40000003 and 40000007.

Any other pointers?

I activated the 1-step approval BC set....do i have to do anything with the process level or maybe the responsibility parameter? I am running out of ideas:-)

Hi,

Could you check in transaction SWDD check whether the following workflows are active, if not: activate:

WS40000014, WS40000015, WS40000016, WS40000017, WS40000018

Yes, all of them are active and saved.

Maybe the workflow is working fine because the correct approver is populated in the approval preview. Any reason why the work item is not reaching the UWL of the approver? Or could it be security/authorization for the respective approver?

Hi Trey,

Please check the following in transaction SWETYPV:

Open the two entities of 'SAPSRM/CL_WF_PDO' and make sure 'event type linkage' is activated for both of those. Most especially the 'ready for release' entity.

It was afterall an authorization issue with the approver.

Redid all the steps technical and activating the BC set. Still the same result. I have checked every log in the system...Tx swif_diag and restarted the workflow too.
