Hi,
I am trying to know features and functions available via Supplier self service portal.
i have gone trhough SAP SRM online help at
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erpsrm2004/helpdata/en/ssp_soc.htm.
From there i understand that SUS supports Supplier registration and PO processing only.
Can some one pls help weather following fucntionalities are available via SUS?
1) Allow listing of Quotations/Tenders publicly to allow vendors to respond and register to participate in bidding.
2) Allow to upload Quotation/Tender documents online.
3) Ability to automatically notify registered vendors of new RFQs via email and Allow interested vendors to indicate interest online.
4) Allow to accept/decline a vendor's interest in an RFQ (with a message to vendors).
5) Email notification to vendors of any amendments/or addtional information posted to RFQs.
6) Allow vendors to submit proposals in reponse to particular Quotation/Tender before closing time.
Thanks in advance,
Hari
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
RFx functions are available in SRM Server.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/36/6bf07fdeea4851a955f8a3b976178b/frameset.htm
Supplier can access RFx documents by following path.
1. via NetWeaver Portal. Supplier can access both SUS and SRM via NetWeaver Portal
2. via SUS. Supplier logon to SUS and selects RFx link. SSO works and supplier can access RFx documents in SRM Server.
RFx document replication to SUS (like PO) is planned in future development.

Hi Masa
Thanks for your response.
For "SAP Best Practices for SRM V1.70" the SUS supported is "Self Service Procurement Classic". And SUS-EBP integration not supported.
how it is different from the regular version.
Does the functionalities i asked in my earlier mail are supported in this "Self Service Procurement Classic" version?
Pls let me know.
Thanks
Hari
Hi,
SUS handles PO collaboration with suppliers. There are 2 landscape options, MM-SUS and SRM-SUS.
Classic - PO is created in ERP(MM) - PO is transfered from ERP to SUS (MM-SUS)
Extended Classic - PO is created in SRM and "Copy PO" is created in ERP - PO is transfered from SRM to SUS (SRM-SUS)
Please check documents in Best Practice Package. You can do additional SUS configuration manually after best practice implementation. Strategic Sourcing (RFx) is in Best Practice scope.

Masa
Hi
Here is what I will say in response to your querries:
1) Allow listing of Quotations/Tenders publicly to allow vendors to respond and register to participate in bidding.
Tenders/Quotations etc take place in SRM, you dont really need SUS necessarily for this. It works a bit different in SRM than what you are looking for. Vendor Registration can happen with a component called ROS in SRM solution landscape. ROS Registeration is not tied to Bidding and tendering. For a Bidding Document to go to Vendor you need his vendor number in the RFx document.
2) Allow to upload Quotation/Tender documents online.
This is very much supported. Vendors can upload Quotation online. This is SRM Bidding Engine Feature , SUS is not mandatory for this.
3) Ability to automatically notify registered vendors of new RFQs via email and Allow interested vendors to indicate interest online.
This is a standard feature in SRM Bidding Engine. SUS is not mandatory for this
4) Allow to accept/decline a vendor's interest in an RFQ (with a message to vendors).
This is a standard feature in SRM Bidding Engine. SUS is not mandatory for this
5) Email notification to vendors of any amendments/or addtional information posted to RFQs.
This is a standard feature in SRM Bidding Engine. SUS is not mandatory for this
6) Allow vendors to submit proposals in reponse to particular Quotation/Tender before closing time.
This is a standard feature in SRM Bidding Engine. SUS is not mandatory for this
Apart from this , you get lot of other functionalities with SRM. If you want the vendors to collaborate with you for follow on documents like PO, Confirmations, SES, Invoice after bidding/tendering takes place, then you will need SUS...
