Need a DSN Expert suggestion on Configuring the DSN related nodes in S4 HANA System

Hi Experts,

My Client is in the process of implementing DSN for SAP S/4 HANA 1909 (On Prem). Would like to clarify from DSN experts to know below are the only S4 HANA 1909 Config nodes needs to be done.

As I understand for DSN, in the backend S4 HANA 1909 system, SPRO Config nodes appearing under the SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway and Ariba Network Integration only needs to be configured

1) SPRO Config nodes appearing under the SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (Technical settings) as per the Image below.

2) SPRO Config nodes appearing under the Ariba Network Integration as per the Image below.

3) SPRO Config nodes appearing under the Ariba Network Integration > General Settings > Application Specific Settings as per the below image

4) In DSN does the system will be able to detect the transactional documents like Create PO, Change PO, ASN, etc... and gets interfaced to CIG ??? Do I need to create New PO Output Message Type for DSN with Partner Type as Logical System and would create a Outbound IDOCs ???

5) Appreciate if some one can let me know if there is any DSN Config document available and it would be great if some one could share a related link.

Hey Srinivas,

Our playbook has a document that provides a step by step overview of the key steps involved in getting the ERP connected to the Digital Supplier Network via CIG . This has screenshots of each steps. You will have to use that in conjunction with the CIG installation and config guide

This document (above link) also has links to the CIG configuration and installation guides. There are configurations that you will have to do for each document types (Purchase Orders, ASN etc) . These are all called out in the cloud integration gateway configuration guide.

Hi Dencil,

In the Page# 28 of the link you shared, it shows to "Register IDOC Webservice in ERP" via Transaction SRTIDOC.

On this point, I would like to know, In our Client Backend S/4 HANA system we are using IDOCs, then "Register IDOC Webservice in ERP" activity is not required right ? Please correct me if I am wrong ??

SAP S/4 HANA will communicate through Outbound IDOCs to AN (Supplier) and when the Supplier sends the message like "ASN" this would be Inbound IDOC message at S/4 HANA end ???

Kindly look at the below image message signal from AN (Supplier) eg. ASN > CIG > SAP Could Connector > S/4 HANA would be a Inbound IDOC ???
