MDM - Generate comparision report against old catalog content & new content

Hi Experts,

Requirement: Generation of comparison report against the old catalog content and newly uploaded catalog content.

System: MDM 3.0

Could you please let me know if there is any standard functionality in SRM-MDM 3.0 (Data Manager) using which we can generate reports against old catalog content and newly uploaded catalog content and compare those reports.

The report should include things like new catalog items, deleted catalog items, changes to catalog items ( price or item description or UOM etc).

Quick responses are highly appreciated.

you need to create a field like -version- in MDM console.

In data manager, create an assigment with a exception, in the exception you can take the creation_date or some field that you can use for identify the new content and the old content.

for example : If_creation_date = DD / MM / YYYY version = OLD

With this funcionality you can save in a field, data for do it more simple the find across the content.

if you want, you can create a validation with diferents exceptions to take the old content vs the new content. Using the new field -version- after being filled with the assigment.

at any time you can report the content with data manager, Menu FILE -- Export to --- Excel/acces/text.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have configured the way you suggested I am still not able to achieve the comparison functionality.

Please correct me if I miss something, when we import content in MDM import manager we can do one of the following..

1.Replace the entire item

2. Update the changes

3. Create duplicate/new item

from the above I can not use option 3 as this duplicates my existing item, so when I chooses option 1 or 2 system is displaying me only ONE RECORD in MDM Data manager. Can you please advise me how to create two records one with version "v1" & Creation Date "xx-xx-xxxx" and other with version "v2" & creation date "yy-yy-yyyy".

If I can create a new record with every new import but with latest import record active or published my problem will be solved.

when you import the content, you can select on tab MATCH FIELDS, the key fields, for example, Id product, descripcion, cateogry, And you can select the CREATE DATE or version, this way, you will have two records in datamanager.
