Hi All

I am facing an issue here, it is out internal MDM service catalog and i am able to order a SC successfully and when the SC is getting approved the PO is getting created, how ever the status is going to SAVED automatically and when i am trying to edit and re order the PO , the PO says its correct and when i am ordering it , i am not able to order and the system is throwing an error message "PRICE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE CATALOG PRICE". where the price is maintained as a variable price in the catalog. Please help me to get it rectified. Also there is one more requirement for the same service catalog, is it possible to activate the service id field in the SC after the service items comes to SC from the service catalog

Regards

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

There is really a validation during approval, which has been introduced by the following SAP note: 1564935 - Missing validation of catalog items in purchase order. The error message might be justified if you have scale price and the quantity or price of the PO item has been changed.

Regarding Service ID, you can either transfer it from the catalog with the OCI data, or use the BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BAdI to determine this information afterwards, if possible.

Hi Vivek,

if the validation is turned on the system will check the item price. If it is different as per standard the system give you a message about this.

If you turn off the validation you don't get this error.

Hi Anita

Do we need to turn off the validation at the External Web services SPRO settings?

Hi Vivek,

based on the described scenario the system behavior is correct: the price in the PO differs from the price in the catalog. If the validation is turned on the system gives you the notification.

By turning off the validation the system will not check the item price in the catalog. Please note this has the same effect if you use this catalog in any other document (e.g. SC).

Regards,

Anita
