Material and plant combination

Dear All

Plese advise how I can fetch the data for material and plant from ECC ?

Like for example we have a product A in SRM for which the plant is P1 to P10 these plants are having naming convention country wise P * for Poland etc..

so I would like to check for any one entry and see if the user belongs to the same country I would display else I would delete the material in Search help .

Please advise how I can get this combination ?

I need the below details :

is there a FM which i can use ?

For a particular product ID how I can get the plant details

It is needed for a search help so if it runs for all entries in search help does it have any impact performance wise ?

Please  do let me know .

Hi Vinita,

I think you have highlighted to things above but I am not sure if I understand correctly or not :

a) Material to be displayed only as per user country this i think you can controlled at search help level.

b) Product Category and location you can controlled in the Extended Attributes .

Nope , I dont think you understood my issue here ..

I basically want only those material which say belong to a particular plant P* should be displayed ..

The one in extended attribute is user specific with nothing to do with the material and plant combination ..

Does that clarify ?

So here you want to show only those materials which belong to a certain plant for the plant you have selected say in Shopping Cart ?

Nope a little more complicated where I would like to display plants which belong to a particular country and is equal to the country of the user .

Second part I know how to fetch the country of the user but for how to identify which plant in backend the material belongs to is where I am struggling .

In MARC table you will find plant to material relationship. Do RFC and extend the search help for product in SRM.
