Mass Upload of Vendors to Ariba

I have a requirement to upload ~1000 vendors into Ariba for a department to use solely for contract management via Strategic Contracts. These vendors will not be fully onboarded due to the dept in question using a separate ERP instance, so the use of the contracts module will be in isolation.

Could anyone recommend the best mass upload method to get these vendors in? I have followed KB0395377 to upload via Business Network but it is proving problematic.

Are you trying to enable them on the network to collaborate or just create them in Ariba so that you can create Contract Workspaces for them?

If the latter, have you looked at the Data Import/Export options under Manage > Administration (or Manage > Core Administration if you're Suite Integrated)?

You can use jobs like "Import Supplier Organizations (CSV)" or "Import Supplier Organizations" to create that non-transacting record. (you'd use "Import Supplier Data (Consolidated File)" if you wanted to create a full transacting supplier).

Thanks Andrew. That was my first point of call. But there are mandatory fields in there that I cannot complete as a new supplier because they are system generated by creating a new supplier - e.g. SystemID, CorporateAddress.UniqueName, Parent.SystemID
