I am new here and new to my purchasing position. I wondered if there is a way to set up low inventory alert. Exampel Inventory Stock number 123456 get Below 500lb and I get alert to reorder item.
You can actually set up safety stock in the material master. It is than clubbed with MRP run, where auto PR set up can be done, if the stock falls below specified level. The below query has a wonderful response on what exactly need to be done to set it up
It is all set but we still working to update. Is there a way to set up alert when it's get below the safety stock or below the certain amount? I appreciated your reply!
If you have MRP enabled and PR triggered, you can trigger an email using the PR created in your SAP Inbox. If you do not have MRP established in your SAP system, write a simple Z report to check the stock level. if the same falls below a defined level, you can send this z report as an alert through an email to a DL via set up in SOST.
However, the standard process should be through MRP run and PR being generated if the stock falls below a certain level. Please refer the below link for further details.
