I am working on the SRM-MDM catalog.and face a problem with logon to the Configuration UI.
SAP MDM7.1 version 7.1.04.149
SAP SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 Repository
http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~mdmsrmui/MDM_SRM_UI_App.
We have made a successful connection test.
After filling in the server name on login screen, I can select between repositories that are "loaded and running" so there seems to be connection between J2ee and MDM Server.
.
I select a repository 'SRM_MDM_Catalog' and specify the User 'Master' that has the role 'UI Configuration Manager'.
When trying to logon with the above information I get the message 'Login failed'.
Any ideas how to resolv this problem?
Thanks
Jan

Hi,
Try to reset the password of user "Master" in MDM Console. Make sure that ID & password is is typed properly as they both are case sensitive.
Thanks,

Hi Jan.
The MDM connections might have been lost. Can you try restarting the MDM Server/Unload repository and try once.
Also can youu try with Admin/winter.

Hi,
I have no problems connecting to the Repository via MDM console and I have restarted the repository and server. The connection to MDM Server is intact.
I am using the user (Master) with the role UI Configuration Manager which I understand is the correct role to use when logon to Config UI. I have tried adding this role to user Admin but still with the same result.
I think there might be something else wrong other than user/role issue.
Any ideas anyone?

I'm closing this thread as we figured out that the deployed JAVA API 7.1.05.94 is not compatipble with our MDM server 7.1.04.149!
We deploy the correct JAVA API (7.1.04.146 -
MDMJ71004_20-10006189.SCA) after which we could reach both Config UI and Serarch UI.

Try UserID 'Administrator' without any password.
