Hi Gurus,
I am facing two issues in ESO, reference from other threads mentioned below.
1. I am trying to import the contract through 'contract import workbook' present in RG.
I have made & verified changes in field data values of the three worksheets in contracts. Now when i try importing, it gets failed giving me the error - An error was encountered in column CONTACT/LOCATION.
However, the same values do exist in Master Data.
2. Change of url in email notifications - As of today, the url which is getting generated is wrong. It has to be corrected
Please help me with any pointers towards possible troubleshooting.
Thanks,
Tripti

HI,
Please ensure that in your upload file external ID for all field values .
For EG: Location field : Location external id should be used in upload file insted his description or name.
For Vender contact : User id need to be used instead contact first or last name.
Thjank you,
Mani

Hi ,
1) Check the upload user and DOC _ownsers are having authorization to dispaly the location.
2) Location exterinal id is case senstive and check ur contact user id is active and enable to login... ,
3) if you vendor number are having a leading zero then Ensure that leading zeros stay in files.
4) Contact user id is case senstive...
5) please check the Contact user id is belong to active sell side directory.
Thanks Mani,
Your pointers have been very helpful. We have been able to troubleshoot the 'Contact' & 'Location' field issue.
However, we are still unable to successfully import, reason being that now we are getting two errors.
1.object 1 & 2 - This field is required and must have a value. [APPRVAL] - which seems strange as there is no field named - 'APPRVAL'
2. object 3: java.lang.NullPointerException - Both the three objects are similar in their datatypes & content
Any further pointers on this....
Regards,
Tripti

Hi Tripti,
Regarding #2, which mail type notification url are you referring to? Is it new account activation, forgot password or ?.
In System Setup -> Configuration, you basically have to clone (copy) the existing Mail Message Template to a new one with the correct url and then plug it in to the correct Mail Configuration.

Thanks Wayne,
The mail notification i am referring to .. is the general one, which links the user to ESO application.
We already tried doing what you have suggested , but the key here is to make modifications in <%url%> token... which is defined as in Plain text of Mail Mesage Template.
We found a related SAP note 1148084 - , which points out that we can do the same at Cluster settings too...tried figuring out.. but couldn't proceed

P.S. as an example, if my url is : http://hostname/sourcing/fsbuyer/rfx/rfps_header.
I need to change the hostname.
