Issu in Creating OMA for Variable Library

Hi Experts,

We are in sourcing 10.0.

I am creating OMA file of Variable Library , but oma is not getting generated.

Can anyone help me on this , what could be an issue.

Any leads would be of great help!!

I can see that the object count is 0. Hence the OMA file is not generated.

As i mentioned earlier, because of zero count for variable library you are not able to generate the OMA.

I was able to generate the OMA because there was one object in my system.

But we are using version 9.0

Many thanks for your input.

But when i am running query , its showing the results.

Now when i am using the same query to export the results, count is coming zero.

For rest of the objects it's working fine, only facing issue in Variable Library export.

Any other cause which can cause this issue.

Any leads would be of great help!!

Which is the query u executed? And what is the results fetched by that query.

Yes it is the same which i got too. this strange behavior maybe due to version 10.0. Also please check if there are values in the Contract Generation Variables.

Yes, we do have values in library.

I have exported the same 1 month back, it was working fine.

Now only facing this issue.

Restarted the server also, but still it's not working.

What is causing this problem,not able to figure out:(

If the OML query returns your results, then you can try exporting via Object List, not Dataset.

Thanks for your input.

i have tried via object list also, its behaving the same way.

Also, in logs it says object not found.

i have changed some security profiles , now reverted them back still its not working.

Is there any other reason which can cause this issue.

Hi Geetika,

You mentioned an error in the log. This is consistent with the behavior (The query executes correctly because the results are just the object_id, class_id and name. On the other hand, the .oma extract exports all the details of the VL, including nested objects)

Most likely the issue is with one of the Variable Libraries itself. Please check the log and try to identify in which library the error comes (object not found). Then you'll have to check or regenerate it before export.

Problem was with one of the variable(containing attachment), deleted and it is working fine now.
