Interface error of payment request of PO-based invoice between Ariba B&I and S/4 HANA

I am writing t this QA about the status of the interface of payment request data between Ariba B&I and S/4 HANA via CIG.

As a part of the testing process, I created a Non-PO invoice and a PO-based invoice in Ariba.

The interface of the payment request of the Non-PO invoice was successful and an accounting document was posted in S/4 HANA.

However, the interface of the payment request of the PO-based invoice failed due to the following error message: “Item 00001 of purchasing document EP1580 does not exist”.

I suspect that this error message is caused by the nonexistence of PO on the S/4 side, but I believe that this should not affect the interface.

This is because the payment request is based on the PO issued on the Ariba side, so the nonexistence of PO on S/4 HANA should be irrelevant when posting an accounting document on the S/4 side.

Appreciate if anyone can advise me on how to resolve this issue?
