Hello SAP Guru's,
i am a PM consultant and my client requirement is to integrate SAP PM orders with SRM for non stock material and external services.
The need of the hour is to enter the order and cost center in the SRM tool and create the PO and process it. I am new to SRM and would really appreciate if anyone could please tell me how and where do i begin? Also is there any configuration need from PM?
Dear Mr. Doddagoudar,
as I understand you would like to transfer purchase requisitions which were created by PM to the SRM system to be sourced.
You can do this process with the use of the external requirement solution as detailed in the following SAP Wiki:
https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/External+Requirement
Here you can find further customizing: 1646982 - How to enable external requirement transfer
The RFC user used to transfer the PR to SRM must be integrated to the SRM Org structure, so it can process the documents in SRM.
With this process you can transfer PRs based on material group to the SRM system.
The SRM system must have the used material group and material number replicated from the ERP system.
To do this, check the following SAP Wiki site and KBA on the customizing:
https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Middleware
1553940 - First checks to Material, Service and Product Category transfer errors
If you want to source the created shopping carts which were created from PRs, then customize the material groups(product categories) as sourcing relevant in the SRM SPRO as detailed in:
https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Sourcing+Determination+-++Customizing
After the shopping carts have a source of supply then you can create local SRM Purchase orders from them, and transfer them to the ERP, to either create the invoices/GRs in the ERP or in the SRM.
I hope my clarification is helpful.
Best regards,
Tamás
