Inserting SC items to PO

Dear SAP expert,

We are in SRM 7.01 with ECC 6.05. Previously in SRM 5.0 we notice that during PO change, we can add more item to PO by using existing SC item. We use this feature for additional works in PO. Our process if there are some additional works needed in PO, the user will create new SC, and after approval, the SC will be inserted to PO as additional items (the SC itself then will disappear from sourcing).

However in SRM 7 server demo that we have, we dont see this button anymore. Is it not possible anymore for us to create additional item in PO based on approved SC in sourcing?

Best regards,

John

Hi John,

This functionality is still available in the newer release (SRM 7.0 and 7.01). When you are creating your PO or editing an existing one, you will see a button/drop down called 'Add Item'. When you select this a drop down menu is displayed and here you will have the option 'Old Shopping cart' on selecting this you can search for a cart and then select and add items from it to your PO. If these items are sourcing relevant then yes they will also be removed from sourcing.

I hope helps,

Kind Regards,

Lisa

Hi lisa,

Thanks a lot for your response. I just tried this button, however i found out that the sc number is not transferred as reference to my po item. So if i do this, seeing from the tracking tab it seems that this po item is newly created without any reference (though i making it by using old sc as you have mentioned before) does your system behaving like this as well?

Hi John,

You should be able to see the reference for the item in the actual Item details. So when you click on the Item details you will see that there is a Related Documents tab. Then here you will see the reference.

I hope this helps,

Kind Regards

Lisa
