Incorrect posting date in purchase order for user with different time zone

Hi All,

I am facing issue with the field posting date/document date in header data-basic data-document date. The time zone of the user is CST. If the user has created the purchaser order say at 10 PM on 23 January, the document date in the Purchase order will be displayed as 24 January as per UTC time instead of 23rd January as per the time zone CST in user settings.

This is not correct and creates confusion. We are using SRM 5 version/ Could anyone help me out how to resolve this issue?

Thanks & Regards,

Gayatrhi

Hi Nikhil,

Thanks for the reply. But what is the impact of changing the time zone ( i can see a pop up - wil be changed in all clients)? Is it for this particular user or impact all users in the system since we have users from other time zones too.

Hi,

STZAC settingds are client dependent. Please have a look at note 198411.

Also note that SAP Picks up its time from OS level. So please ensure that your OS has the right time. Then execute transaction STZAC to adjust sap system time zone.

Hi Nikhil,

Thanks for your reply.

The PO creation and changed time are correct as per the US time zone. So there is no issue with the server settings. Even the description of the PO (which has date and time) shows the correct date. The only field which has issue is the document date/posting date.

Gayathri.
