In DSN > Can we capture Material Handling Unit and Batch Number in ASN from the AN Supplier

Hi Experts,

My Client is in the process of implementing DSN for SAP S/4 HANA 1909. There is a scenario to post the Inbound delivery document in S/4 HANA from ASN received from AN Supplier Portal and would capture Material Packaging Unit and Batch Number data from the Supplier. In this context I would like to know does this feature (Packaging Unit and Batch Num fields) is available in DSN ??? If not, is there is way Ariba DSN Support Team would enhance couple of fields in Supplier Portal ???

I understand this feature is available in SAP Ariba SCC through 3rd Party Logistics Transport Request process but I am looking for a solution from DSN.

Hi,

1) Material Packaging Unit -> would this be field on header level or line level ? For customisation requests you should check DSN Partner Manual on next steps. (that you have probably received when your project went through sales to delivery handoff step)

2) Supplier Batch Num field is available in standard supplier UI:

Is there is any way we can make the Field "Supplier Batch ID" Mandatory ??? I checked the Transaction Rules but didn't fine any.

You are correct. What needs to be done is either:

1) rename one of the existing fields that you do not use anyway

2) create a new field and map it

Either way this is a customization request that follows process described in the partner manual.

Regrading Material Packaging Unit ---> I understand from your reply, in the Standard Supplier UI in DSN this is field is not available either at Header / Item Level ???
