Hi,
Soon we are going to upgrade our SRM 4.0 system to SRM 7.0 and MDM Catalog 3.0.
So is there any impact on XI 3.0, do we need to upgrade XI 3.0 to PI 7.0 or PI 7.1 to be able to do this.
Do you have any idea?
I have looked in the PAM at SAP but I don't come to any conclusion. Could you help me to sort this out?
Thanks!
Sarvesh
Request clarification before answering.
master guide for SRM 7.0 mentions that PI 7.0 needs to be implemented and installed if you want to use PI
i guess Xi3.0 is not compatible with SRM 7.0.
plesae check master guide for SRM 7.0 at
service.sap.com/instgudes --> search for Business SUites --> SRM 7.0

After going through "Upgrade Dependency Analyzer" ([_UDA_|http://service.sap.com/uda]) it is possible to upgrade SRM without upgrading XI 3.0 but then SRM7.0 should be without EHP1, but if we want to have SRM on EHP1 then XI 3.0 must be upgraded to it's higher versions.
Apart from my findings if anyone has done this before then please let me know if there are any known issues or points to be taken care during upgrade.

Hi Sarvesh,
Go with PI 7.1 with SRM 7.0. (Especially if you wish to leverage new scenarios captured with SRM 7.0 like Service Procurement, Central Contracts etc)
