Images were shown as Red Cross in SRM MDM Catalog

Hi Expert,

Images were shown as Red Cross in our SRM MDM Catalog.

Right click the red cross of image, I got this URL

http://srmserver:50900/webdynpro/resources/null//Images?id=4&variant=Thumbnail&cachePath=E:/usr/sap/...

When I use web browser to access the URL, the J2EE shows error message

Could you please give us some suggestions?

Hi Lorry,

first of all I recommend you to check the SAP Note 1320382.

In case it would not resolve your issue, please check your SRM-MDM Catalog version, and upgrade to a newer one. Issues with the blob cache mechanism have been corrected for example in SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP08 (note 1505796) or SP10 (note 1556589).

Hi Timea,

Our SRM-MDM version is 7.1.05.66.

I checked the note 1320382 before and tried the two solutions, they did not work.

I think the image URL was something wrong, do you have further suggestions?

Hi Lorry,

I strongly recommend you to upgrade to a newer (preferably to the latest) patch.

Known issues have been fixed in MDM 7.1 SP06.

Hi Lorry,

you can use the document attached to note 1476694 about downloading the relevant components.

Always take care to upgrade the MDM and SRM-MDM components consistently (further information in the relevant SRM-MDM release note, e.g. 1650673 SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP12 Patch 00 Release Note).
