how to handle direct material with classic scenario

hi,

we are. in srm 7 ehp 1 with backend ecc 6 ehp 5, we are considering to use classic scenario. however from note 505030 we see that direct material is not supported in classic mode. note that our business process will include:

1. mrp create pr stock,

2. if there are no contract the pr will be pushed to srm for sourcing

as we weant to use service procurement we are leaning to classic scenario, however seeing note 505030 i am not sure how srm will handle this scenario with mrp if we are still using classic scenario.

can someone give me some guidance on this matter
