how to change existed mandatory field to not a mandatory Filed

HI Experts,

We have requirement to change *Inactivity Period and Extension* (in Auction---> scheduled tab)

to not Mandatory filed which is mandatory now.

Could you please guide me on above.

Hi

It is not possible to inactivate standard mandatory fields. However your problem seems to be of removing property Enable Automatic Early Close property that you have set for auction doc type. Follow thbelow mentioned steps:

1. Go to Setup-> Document Type-> Auction Type

2. Select and open the auction type for which you want to remove Inactivity Period and Extension

3. Uncheck property Enable Automatic Early Close

4. Save

Our exact requirement is fields needs to be there but it should not be mandatory field.
